Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you order from CV Factory of Bristol, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). You can contact us at info@cvfconsultants.com. By placing an order you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, please contact us before ordering.

2. Our packages

What each service means

• Professional CV: a CV written from scratch by one of our writers, formatted so applicant tracking systems can read it, and delivered as an editable Word file and a PDF.
• Cover letter: one cover letter written for a specific role or employer you name. It can be lightly adapted for similar roles.
• LinkedIn profile rewrite: a new headline, About section, experience and skills, sent as a document for you to copy into your own profile. We never log in to your account.
• Job sourcing: up to 20 live job openings a month that match the roles, locations and salary you've told us you want.
• Interview coaching: one 20-minute coaching session every two weeks, by video or phone, booked at a time that suits you. We can use a session to prepare you for a specific interview.
• Offer negotiation support: when you get an offer, we review it and suggest in writing how to respond, looking at the whole package, not just salary.
• Indeed and Reed profiles: for Recruiter clients we also prepare content for your Indeed and Reed profiles, to help employers searching those sites find you.

Unused job sourcing or coaching sessions don't roll over to the next month.

3. Ordering and payment

• Submitting our order form is free and doesn't commit you to anything.
• We'll confirm your order within 2 hours during business hours, ask any questions we need answered and email you a secure payment link.
• Your contract with us starts when you pay. We start work as soon as payment is received.
• For CVFactory Recruiter, your first month starts on the day you pay. Job sourcing and coaching start from that day.
• We accept major debit and credit cards and bank transfer. Clients in Sri Lanka can pay by local bank transfer in LKR.

4. Turnaround and express

• Standard: your first draft arrives within 3–5 working days of payment, once we have all the information we need from you.
• Express: your first draft arrives within 48 hours of payment, for an extra fee shown at checkout. If it's late, we refund the express fee. The rest of your order is unaffected.
• The clock starts once we have everything we've asked you for. If we're waiting on you, the deadline moves accordingly.

5. Revisions

A revision round means you send us all your changes together and we update the documents. The Basic Package includes one round and the Professional Package includes two, to be used within 30 days of delivery. Recruiter clients can ask for changes at any time while their subscription is active. Further revisions, or changes that amount to a new CV (for example a different career direction), can be quoted separately.

6. CVFactory Recruiter subscription

• Your first month costs the first-month price shown. After that you pay the monthly price shown, on the same date each month, until you cancel.
• We'll email you a reminder at least 3 days before your first monthly payment, and again if the price ever changes.
• You can cancel at any time by emailing info@cvfconsultants.com or replying to any of our emails. Cancellation stops future payments, and you keep the service until the end of the month you've paid for.
• Your CV, cover letter and LinkedIn content are yours to keep after you cancel.

7. AI CV Builder

The AI CV Builder lets you build your own CV online. These points apply to it in addition to the rest of these terms.

• Price and payment: previewing is free. Downloading your CV as a PDF costs the price shown on the page, paid once by card through our payment provider, Stripe.
• What you get: a PDF of the CV you built, in the design you chose, without the preview watermark. We also email a copy to the address you give at checkout.
• You write the content: the CV is based on what you enter. If you use the AI button, it rewrites the wording of your profile or job description, once per section. AI can make mistakes, so check every detail before you use your CV. You're responsible for making sure it's accurate.
• No CV writer is involved: the builder is a self-service tool. If you'd like a CV written by a person, see our packages in section 2.
• Cancellation: the PDF is digital content supplied straight away. At checkout you agree to this, and you lose your 14-day right to cancel once the download begins.
• If something goes wrong: if you pay but can't download your CV, or the PDF doesn't match the preview, email info@cvfconsultants.com within 14 days. We'll fix it or refund you in full. This doesn't affect your legal rights.
• Fair use: AI features are limited per visitor per day, to keep the service fast and affordable for everyone.

8. Cancellations and refunds

Before we start writing

If you cancel after paying but before your writer has started, we refund you in full.

Your 14-day cancellation right (UK customers)

As a consumer buying online, you usually have 14 days to change your mind. When you order, you ask us to start work straight away, inside that 14-day period. If you cancel within the 14 days, we refund what you paid minus a fair amount for the work already done. Once we've fully delivered a service, your right to cancel it ends.

After we've started

• Basic and Professional: we refund any part of your package we haven't yet delivered. For example, if you cancel a Professional Package after receiving your CV, we refund the cover letter and LinkedIn parts.
• CVFactory Recruiter: if a monthly payment goes through and you meant to cancel, tell us within 72 hours and we'll refund that payment in full, as long as you haven't used any of that month's services. Otherwise monthly payments aren't refundable, but you keep the service until the end of the paid month.
• Express fee: refunded in full if your first draft is late (see section 4).

We refund to the original payment method within 14 days. None of this affects your legal rights.

9. Your responsibilities

• Give us accurate, complete information. We write from what you tell us.
• Check every document before you use it. You're responsible for what you send to employers.
• We won't invent qualifications, job titles, employers or results, and we'll decline any request to.
• Reply to our questions within a reasonable time. If we don't hear from you for 60 days, we may close the order.

10. Confidentiality and your data

We use your details and documents only to provide your service. We don't sell or share them, and we never send your CV to an employer or recruiter without your permission. Our Privacy Policy explains how we store your data, how long we keep it and your rights under UK data protection law.

The documents we write are yours to use for your own job search once you've paid. You can't resell them or use them as templates for other people.

11. What we can and can't promise

We promise to do professional, careful work on time. We can't promise that you'll get an interview or a job, because that also depends on the job market, the roles you apply for and the employers' decisions. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits any rights or liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

12. Prices and currency

• Prices are shown in pounds (£) for the UK, rupees (₨) for Sri Lanka and US dollars ($) everywhere else. You pay in the currency shown when you order.
• Prices are fixed for your order once confirmed. We may change prices for new orders. For Recruiter subscriptions we give you at least 30 days' notice of a price change, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
• Your bank may charge fees or apply its own exchange rate for payments in a foreign currency.

13. Complaints and contact

If you're unhappy with anything, please email info@cvfconsultants.com. We'll reply within 2 working days and aim to put things right within 14 days.

14. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you placed your order applies to that order. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in another country, you keep any consumer protections that your local law gives you.
